It is with the deepest regret that we announce the sudden passing on March 22 of our good friend and colleague Bob Smith. He leaves behind his wife, a son, two daughters and 5 grandchildren. Bob was a very popular member of our fire department and, when we ran into a shortage of first responders last year, Bob and his wife Diana were among the first to sign-up for the additional training. The Smith family has had a seasonal residence at Green Lake since the early 1970s and Bob and Diana have been able to spend much more time here over the past few years. Bob will be sadly missed by his many friends here and at their other home in Port Alberni.
Memorial arrangements will be announced at a later date.
