Bake and Garage Sale
The 17th Annual Bake and Garage Sale was a huge success. A few days prior to the event, 16 ladies got together at Helen Eagle’s residence to make 146 of their famous apple pies for the bake sale. On May 17th, the Sonny Johnson Memorial Fire Hall (Hall #2) was busy with energetic auxiliary members setting up tables, arranging as well as pricing the garage sale items for the next day. Saturday morning was beautiful and the bargain hunters were at the door early. They were very pleased at the selection of items available to them including a variety of home baked goods. The BBQ was also a success serving breakfast sandwiches and later hamburgers and hot dogs. Thank you to Candace Tyler, who organized the BBQ and the crew Vito Burtini, Lawrence Eagle, Alan Watrich, Donna Grimshaw as well as the helpers for a job well done. At the end of the day, we made $2870.47. As president of the auxiliary, I would like to thank all our wonderful volunteers for their hard work to make this a great success, as well as, the individuals who donated items.
Moose Turd Count
The ‘Moose Turd’ count at the Bake and Garage Sale was 1613. Thank you to all who tried to guess the amount.
