On Sunday, August 18, 2013 the Kidney Foundation of Canada, BC Branch will be hosting the 100 Mile House Kidney Walk in Centennial Park. The purpose of this event is to raise funds and awareness but it also promises to be fun for everyone who attends. We have entertainment and music planned, as well as vendor booths and food stands.
Of course, an event like this cannot succeed without community involvement and I am hoping that your fire fighters may be interested in registering as a team to take part in the walk (2.5 km) and possibly setting up an information booth about your department and fire safety. I will be inviting all the fire departments in the area and will leave it up to you if you would like to combine with them as a team and with the information booth.
