To keep as much water readily available at any fire, we have managed to replace the aging T11 (1977) tender with a new to us unit. This unit is currently being outfitted with high-velocity pumps that will provide rapid filling of the tank and equally rapid transfer of water to the pumpers. Having these pumps piped in to the tank gives the truck a pumper rating if called out to serve at a wildfire.
The old T11 has served us well over the years and will now enjoy retirement as a farm vehicle.
